Nissan Armada Wins AutoPacific® 2009 Ideal Vehicle Award for Large Sport Utility. [1]
When it comes to large SUVs, Armada owners love their vehicles most. In the annual Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA), owners rate their new 2009 model year cars and trucks by how closely they come to their ideal, as measured by 15 key vehicle attributes. The cars or trucks that owners would change the least are the most ideal.

Nissan's Frontier pickup truck is part of a compact market that includes the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado and Suzuki Equator (which is essentially a clone of the Frontier, but with altered trim that brands it as a Suzuki). Nissan's small truck is available in two configurations, a King Cab with basic jump seats for rear passengers and as a roomier Crew Cab -- the truck you'll want if the back seat will be occupied on a regular basis.

Nissan’s second smallest car, the Sentra, gains a light refresh and lower prices across the board for 2010. Sticker prices are down across the board compared to last year anywhere from $130, for the base model, to $1,080 for the SE-R Spec V. For 2010, Sentra is offered in six trim levels – 2.0, 2.0 S, 2.0 SR (with sporty exterior and interior styling features), 2.0 SL and two performance-oriented models, SE-R and SE-R Spec V (please see separate 2010 Sentra SE-R press materials for information on these models). Sentra 2.0 models feature a standard 140-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and fuel-efficient Nissan Xtronic CVT™ (2.0, 2.0 S, 2.0 SR and 2.0 SL) or 6-speed manual transmission (2.0 only).

The all-new 2010 Nissan Cube builds on the previous generation Cube's non-traditional design with an improved stance and an added sense of dynamic movement. With Cube's long wheelbase relative to its overall length (a 99.6-inch wheelbase against a 156.7-inch overall length) and wide track, the wheels, in effect, are pushed out to each corner – providing exceptional space utilization and a confident-looking stance. The 2009 Nissan Cube is available in eight mild-to-wild exterior colors: Chrome Silver, Steel Grey, Bitter Chocolate, Scarlet Red, Caribbean Blue, Moss Green, Super Black and White Pearl.

The Altima Sedan is Nissan's entrant into the very competitive mid-size sedan segment and goes head-to-head with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Chevrolet Malibu. New for 2007, the Altima Sedan came standard with a 175 horsepower 2.5 liter engine, a six-speed manual and push-button ignition. The Altima has Nissan's standard 2.5 liter, four cylinder engine, with 175 horsepower. With a 3.5 liter, V6 engine, the horsepower increases to 270 with 258 pounds-feet of torque. Both six-speed manual or CVT (continuously variable transmission) automatic transmissions are available. The CVT helps improve fuel economy and save on gas mileage.

Based on the Nissan Sentra, the Rogue represents Nissan's first entrant into the compact SUV market. It's about five inches shorter than the Murano, another Nissan midsize crossover. Power for the Rogue comes from Nissan's familiar 2.5L four-cylinder -- rated at 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission available in the Rogue is a CVT. The Rogue is available in two trim levels: the S and SL. The base model is available in front or all-wheel drive and comes with 16 inch wheels and power windows, locks and mirrors. The SL model adds a bit of sport to the Rouge range and boasts 17 inch wheels, body-colored mirrors, a stainless steel exhaust-tip and optional steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Altima Coupe is a 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve QR25 inline 4-cylinder, producing 175 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. Customers can chose between a CVT transmission and a 6-speed manual. Altima Coupe models with the 4-cylinder engine are equipped with 16-inch wheels and tires, while V6-equipped Altima Coupes come with unique-design 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and 215/55R17 tires. All 2008 Altima Coupes also come equipped with standard 4-wheel, 4-channel, 4-sensor Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD).

Nissan redesigned its popular Maxima sedan. The automaker hopes this vehicle will return to its glory days as the "Four-door Sports Car." Equipped with a standard 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and Xtronic CVT™ with available paddle shifters. Revisions to the 2010 Maxima include new wheel finishes for 18-inch (Fine Silver) and 19-inch (Hyper Silver) wheels; Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System is now standard on all models; a 7-inch color monitor, RearView Monitor, auxiliary audio/video input jack, iPod® net and 2GB Music Server are added to the new optional Monitor Package (USB connectivity also included); DVD playback capability, streaming audio via Bluetooth® technology and XM NavWeather® are added to Technology Package and more.

Nissan took the wraps off an all-new Murano crossover for the 2010 model year. Nissan calls the vehicle "super-evolution" of the first-generation Murano. All 2009 Muranos feature a VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6 rated at 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque coupled to a CVT transmission with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC). 2009 Muranos are available in front-wheel drive or with an all-wheel drive system. The Murano comes standard with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with a Traction Control System (TCS).
The most striking visual element of the 2009 Murano is its new body, which Nissan says has been infused with a 'modern art' feel while still maintaining its distinctive DNA.

Revealed in late 2007, the 2010 GT-R marks the revival of an iconic nameplate for Nissan. The car is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbo V6, good for 480 horsepower and 434 ft-lb of torque. The only transmission that will be available in the GT-R is a GR6 dual-clutch six-speed. The GT-R's powertrain is reportedly good for a zero to 60 time of 3.5 seconds, a quarter mile time of only 11.7 seconds and a top speed of 192 mph. In addition, recent reports indicate the GT-R lapped the Nurburgring's Nordschleife in 7 min 35 seconds - placing it in some pretty elite company.
