The tenth-generation Toyota Corolla was launched for the 2010 model year. It features a redesigned exterior and revampted interior. For 2010, Toyota will offer the Corolla in five different trim levels: Standard, LE, XLE, S and performance XRS model. The 2010 Camry and Camry Hybrid scheduled to go on sale in March, have an array of enhancements, inside and out, including exterior styling, performance, safety, audio and convenience features. A 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine will produce 132 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 128 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,400 rpm. The engine will feature Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) on both the intake and exhaust camshafts that helps it achieve outstanding performance and economy. Estimated EPA fuel economy ratings are 26/32 city/highway mpg for manual transmission models and 25/31 for the automatic transmission model powered by a 1.8-liter engine.

In an age of downsizing, lightening, and increasing political correctness, Toyota is introducing a redesigned 4Runner whose only concession to the changing times is the deletion of a V-8 engine from the options list. Toyota launched an all-new utility vehicle for the 2010 model year called the Venza. The Japanese automaker refers to the car as a "crossover sedan," which seems to be a synonym for "station wagon." Toyota came up with the designation because the Venza combines "comfort and fun-to-drive performance elements of a five-passenger sedan" with the "utility of an SUV." Power is generated by an available 3.5-liter V6 that produces 268 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 246 pound-feet of torque at 4,700 rpm with a towing capability of 3,500 pounds. The Toyota Sienna continues to be one of the most comfortable and utility-oriented family vans in its segment. It offers the only all-wheel drive (AWD) option among family vans on the market. For 2010, the Sienna gains optional 17-inch alloy wheels and additional option package changes for the LE model. The Toyota Avalon – the platinum standard in premium large sedans – gains standard Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with traction control (TRAC) and Brake Assist (BA) for 2010. The Touring grade was discontinued, and some of its features have been added to other Avalon grades.
